Quiz Night
The 2009 La Salle College Annual Quiz Night and Auction on Friday 31 July was another sell out success with 550 tickets sold within the first 2 weeks. This year the quiz was held at the Swan Italian Sporting Club as the new College double court gymnasium is under construction. Our Quiz Master and Principal, Mr Wayne Bull, kept everyone on their toes and enjoying the evening with 9 rounds of questions including ‘name the missing lyrics’, and ‘guess who's missing’.
Mr Peter Jasiorowski of Battery World Midland drew the 24 door prizes of Battery World Cooler bags filled with prizes and vouchers and the lucky major door prize of 1 night's accommodation at the Crest Hotel Group in Mandurah.
Special thanks to Mr Peter Morley, our Auctioneer for the past 4 years. Mr Morley's professionalism made the auctions exciting and enjoyable.
The 5 loud and 97 silent auctions included:
Access Management Customer Survey Results valued at $3,300.
Supply West Bookland Mac Mini Including keyboard and accessories valued at $1686.
EMCO Building 42” LG Plasma TV valued at $1499.
The Outdoor Specialists 7 Piece Outdoor Setting valued at $1000.
Ian Diffen Malaga 4 tyres valued at $400.
Congratulations to all winners especially, first prize Table No. 49, the Musarra family and friends. They took away with them $1300 worth of goods and an additional $1700 of discount vouchers.
Many thanks and appreciation to all who assisted in making this event a success - The Friends of La Salle, Christian Service-Learning students, College staff and their families and the 100 businesses and families of the College who contributed so generously.
The proceeds of $17,500 raised will go towards enhancing student resources.
