On Friday 19 February 2021, the Education Support department went to Sorrento Beach to compete with the other schools in a friendly Beach Carnival.

We travelled by bus from the College to the beach and on arrival, we had to set up our gazebos and blow up the beach balls for the events.

Our first event was an iron man event with one of our students, Will coming in second in what was a tight and exciting finish.

After recess, we participated in more events and activities such as bogie boarding, sponge and bucket relay, building sandcastles, beach ball games and beach flags.

After leaving the beach, we headed back to school where we celebrated Mr McKay’s birthday with chocolate and pumpkin cakes before all the students were presented with their certificates.

We had a great day out.
