ACC Interschool Cross Country

On Thursday 5 June, our Representative Cross Country squad competed at the 59th annual ACC Cross Country Carnival along with 80 other schools from around Western Australia.

The La Salle tent was a hive of activity all day, with students warming up together, supporting one another, and showing great sportsmanship throughout the event.

Not only did our students compete with great heart and grit, but they also upheld the values of respect, resilience, and camaraderie—hallmarks of the Lasallian spirit.

Thank you to staff for their support and organisation on the day, to every runner who gave their best and all reserves for supporting their teammates on the day. We are incredibly proud of the effort and attitude shown by all our runners. La Salle finished twenty first overall with some stand out individual achievements. Congratulation to the following students:

ACC Inclusive Fun Run

The rain didn’t dampen the spirits of our runners at the recent ACC Inclusive Fun Run, held on Friday 30 May. It was fantastic to see all our students giving it their best as they completed two laps of Jackadder Lake. Students also enjoyed a range of fun activities and sausage sizzle to celebrate the day.

Thanks to the great display of spirit and sportsmanship from our students, La Salle College took home the Sue Bigalow Shield. Congratulations to Indianna (Year 8) who placed first and to Kassie (Year 8) for placing third. What an amazing achievement for all of our students who competed in the ACC Inclusive Fun Run.

ACC Boys Netball Carnival

On Friday 23 May La Salle College was represented at the ACC Boys Netball Carnival held at Matthews Netball Centre. The team was made up of students in Years 11 and 12 who had completed training sessions and gameplay against our Senior NEAS Netball Girls team to prepare for the Carnival. In wet weather, led by captain Harrison Alleway, our boys put their best Netball on display against four different schools from around the metropolitan area in their pool division.

After a gruelling day and a very close finish against Emmanuel Catholic College the team managed to finish second in their pool with three wins and one loss. As a result, the boys have progressed through to the bracket stage of the ACC Boys Netball Division starting in Term 3 for a chance to win the ACC title.

Coaches Mr Rawlings and Miss McGinley were extremely proud of how the students represented the College on the day.
