Once again Book Week was a roaring success, as staff and students ‘Booked an Adventure’ to celebrate this year’s CBCA Book of the Year Award Winners.
The iCentre was decorated wall to wall with scenes of pirate themes, dungeons and dragons, jungles and mountain ranges, providing the backdrop of the many activities on offer that week.
Our thanks go to Mr Ronan Motherway who hosted ‘The Great Bully-Gob- Bold Robbery Campaign’, in our appropriately decorated dragon crypt, for our Dungeon and Dragons enthusiasts and to Mr Adam Thorne for his ‘Thorne to Be Wild’ presentation, treating his audience to his intrepid tales of his long trek along the Bibbulmun Track.
There was a definite air of fun and excitement, as staff across the departments donned their finery, and dressed up as their favourite characters from literature. The English Department took out best dressed department and Ms Dolores Castelino was a standout as Paddington Bear.
Next year’s theme is A Symphony of Stories … watch this space!!
