Book Week is an annual event to celebrate Australian literature, both authors and illustrators. Each year Awards are given to best books for older and younger readers along with picture books and non-fiction.

Activities at La Salle College included quizzes to match titles and authors with covers of winning books.

A ‘Match the map to the book’ activity where students had to determine maps from books such as Winnie the Pooh, The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter. Some of these were surprisingly challenging to solve.

It was great to see the interest and participation of our students during classes and at break times.
