Our Year 8 and 9 Boarders have been combining HaSS, Maths and Science to plant winter vegetables and herbs in the College garden.
Students researched the cost and most appropriate herbs and vegetables to plant for winter conditions, then travelled to Bunnings to make their purchases.
On Monday 16 May they spent the afternoon planting the seedlings and over the Term will monitor, trim, water and keep the area free from litter.
This learning opportunity provides our Boarding students with an experience they would not get to do in their communities due to the more extreme climate.
