Students in our Year 10 Care classes have been learning about St Vincent de Paul and a range of agencies that provide services to children and families in need. Students baked cakes, slices and biscuits to raise funds to purchase items for their care packages.
The care packages will support premature babies, identity WA helping children with disabilities, St Vincent de Paul and Djooraminda – who provide care to Aboriginal children. Our boarding students created care packages with bubbles, chalk, colouring books and toy cars and will deliver the packages to their local Catholic primary school such as Luurnpa Catholic School in Balgo Hills, just in time for Christmas!
This has been a wonderful learning experience for our students – giving back to the community for those in need.
