As part of the Vocational Pathways course, Year 12 students must show competence in 14 units across the year – one of these units is HLTAID003 Provide First Aid.

On Wednesday 9 June our  Year 12 Leader of Wellbeing Ms Fiona Stankevicius facilitated first aid training with course students.

Students were assessed on their CPR skills, using defibrillators, EpiPen’s, and learning how to respond to cuts, bites and abrasions whilst also displaying their skills in “real life” scenarios.

This was a great learning opportunity for our students made possible through the College’s investment in mannequins and practice defibrillators, along with an assortment of other first aid equipment and resources.
