City of Swan Parking Program

10 May 2023

With the commencement of Term 2, this is a timely reminder to all parents and guardians to park safely and legally at all times.

The City of Swan has advised us that parking patrols will continue to monitor La Salle College for the remainder of the school year.

With over 1300 students, our school is a busy place, especially at drop off and pick up times, so we need to work together to keep it safe for our students.

If practical to do so:

  • Consider arriving 10-15 minutes later to pick up your child, which may allow for the bulk of traffic to clear the College grounds
  • Plan your trip so you arrive with time to spare in case you have to a walk a distance to the College
  • Consider the use of alternative transport options including carpooling, public transport, cycling and walking (even if only from across the oval)
  • Use designated College Pick up/Drop off areas where possible.

The City of Swan School Road Safety Guide is available on the City’s website under the “Parking near schools” tab at the following link: Safe-and-legal-parking.

If you witness any illegal or unsafe parking practices around the College, you should contact the City of Swan by phone 9267 9267 or email swan@swan.wa.gov.au.

Thank you for your continued cooperation in relation to this matter.
