On Monday 24 May, the Year 10 Textiles and Fashion students participated in an incursion to make fashion accessories.

With the guidance of Serena from Studio Peppercorn, the students experimented with polymer clay to prototype designs.

Students made mini’s, rings, pendants, earrings and experimented with marbling of colours and baked their polymer clay creations in the oven.

As you can see from the photos, students displayed a great flair for colour combinations and design – fashion accessory designers in the making!

Creative courses are important for encouraging and tapping into young people’s self-expression and complements their academic learning.
