La Salle College (LSC) vs John Septimius Roe Round 2 of the Graeme Wood Shield was a blast with La Salle earning their first win of the season.

Congratulations to Year 12 student Mark Ierace who made his debut for the team.

La Salle’s batting didn’t go to plan early on with opener Josh Chitty nicking off first ball. Max Chipper and captain Adam Brock steadied the ship and brought LSC back in the game with Max scoring 50 runs and Adam 40. A good little cameo by Zac Wareing at the end (25 runs) helped La Salle finish 7-170.

Josh Chitty and Zac both opened the bowling with Zac taking the key wicket of state batsmen Mitch Williams, after which JSR were done for – even Sir Damon Rossi took 2 wickets!

A great win for La Salle College.
