On Thursday 27 October 2022, our Boarding students participated in an illustration learning session with First Nations Graphic Novelist Brenton McKenna.

Brenton was born and raised in Broome Western Australia and is recognised as Australia’s first Indigenous graphic novelist with his own acclaimed series Ubby’s Underdogs.

Brenton’s creative and interactive storytelling style had our students captivated. Through the session they learned to create their own unique character and learn about the process of creating a graphic novel.
