Inter-house Cross Country

17 April 2021

On the last day of Term 1 we held our Inter-house Cross Country event. This year’s event was a whole school event and was renamed Run Against MND (Motor Neuron Disease) to honour the late Mr Ben Reilly, a former teacher and Year Coordinator at the College for ten years.

Both students and staff showed great solidarity wearing house colours and MND fundraising gear. Students participated in their year groups around a new and improved course. The course was slightly longer than previous years however all students enjoyed the challenge. The top ten male and female athletes from each year group will be training in the ACC Cross Country Squad in the lead up to the Inter-school event in Week 6.

I congratulate all those who participated in the Inter-house Cross Country event and thank the College Sports Team for their efforts behind the scenes.  It was an outstanding event that created a special buzz around the College and a great way to finish a busy Term 1.

Almost $2,000 was raised which has been donated to the MND WA Foundation as a tribute to the lives and hearts that Mr Reilly positively changed during his time at the College.
