Inter-House Swimming Carnival

20 March 2025

On Friday 14 March our College gathered at Terry Tyzack Aquatic Centre in Inglewood for our Inter-House Swimming Carnival. We were blessed with beautiful weather, creating the perfect backdrop for a day of swimming, novelty activities and House spirit.

The 25m pool was buzzing with activity as students racked up the House points while the 50m pool saw some fierce competition and amazing talent across freestyle, backstroke and breaststroke, with several records being broken across the day.

The team novelty events were popular, and it was great to see students cheering and supporting each other and proudly representing their Houses. The energy around the pool was contagious, with students embracing every opportunity to get involved, whether racing, swimming for points, or joining in the novelty events. The dedication and sportsmanship on display were outstanding, making it a memorable carnival for everyone.

Congratulations to Brigid House who secured the overall Swimming Shield ahead of runners-up La Salle House, who continue to show impressive improvement. Congratulations also to MacKillop House who was awarded the “Spirit Award” for best overall participation by a House on the day.

Thank you to the HPE staff for their hard work and to all staff for helping make the day run smoothly.

Congratulations to the following students on their outstanding talent in the pool, breaking the following records:
