On Wednesday 25 June, the La Salle College Showband was invited to perform at a prestigious farewell celebration for Mr Wayne Bull, Executive Director of Catholic Education WA (CEWA) and former Principal of La Salle College. Held on the chapel lawn at CEWA headquarters in West Leederville, the event was attended by distinguished guests including the Attorney General, the Minister for Education, CEWA leadership, Diocesan representatives and principals from Catholic schools across the state.

Mr Bull, recently appointed a Member of the Order of Australia in the 2025 King’s Birthday Honours, has been a long-time supporter of the arts and Catholic education, making this invitation a deeply meaningful honour for our College.

Despite short notice and a demanding program of repertoire, the Showband rose to the occasion, delivering an engaging and polished performance that reflected the spirit and excellence of La Salle. Our students’ musicality and professionalism were commended by guests and organisers alike.
