Over the weekend of 13–15 June, our Music Department held its annual Music Camp at Ern Halliday Recreation Camp in Hillarys. The event brought together over 100 students from the College’s ensemble and music programs for an enriching and memorable experience.

Students spent the weekend engaged in focused rehearsals with Concert Band, Showband, Choir and small ensembles preparing for Term 3 performances and the Catholic Performing Arts Festival. The camp also encouraged wellbeing and balance, with activities such as a guided yoga session led by Director of Music, Ms Samantha Ashman.

Evenings were a highlight, with a quiz night and talent show hosted by our Music Captains, Alex Dwyer and Liam Smith. The talent on display was impressive, with standout performances by Vernice on classical guitar and Amanda’s stunning vocal performance, earning them top honours in the talent show.

Music Camp 2025 was a celebration of collaboration, creativity, and community spirit. Students returned inspired, connected, and ready to take on the next chapter of the musical year.
