The theme of the National Reconciliation week, 2022 is “Be Brave. Make Change”. At the heart of the reconciliation journey are relationships – relationships between the broader community and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. To acknowledge National Reconciliation Week 2022 (27 May – 3 June) some of our students participated in a range of cultural activities with students from other schools in the local community, hosted out at Balga Senior High School. Students enjoyed a Welcome to Country by Noongar man Len Yarran and immersed themselves in dancing, basket weaving, face painting, art, basketball and a sausage sizzle.
