Academic Excellence Assembly 3 March 2021

As a school of excellence guided by our Lasallian principles and Christian values, we celebrate our students’ individual needs and interests, empowering them to discover their unique potential.

On Wednesday 3 March 2021, we celebrated our amazing 2020 Western Australian Certificate of Education (WACE) high achievers at our College assembly.

Led by our Principal Giovanna Fiume and Vice Principal Campbell Brown, our high achievers were presented with certificates for academic excellence.

It was a wonderful occasion for these students, their families and our teachers, who played an important supporting role in helping them discover and achieve their best.

So what does the future hold now for these Lasallians? Some students will be enjoying a gap year in 2021, while others have already embarked on their Tertiary studies journey in:

  • Law and International Relations
  • Classical Voice at WAAPA
  • History and French
  • Speech Pathology
  • Physiotherapy
  • Chemical Engineering
  • Engineering – Mechatronics
  • Medicine
  • Philosophy majoring in Botany & French study
  • Geology.

At La Salle our learning opportunities and facilities happen within and beyond the classroom and enable our students to evolve as individuals and as a community. Mr Neal Collins, Acting Leader of Learning Science at La Salle College said he is delighted to see so many students of excellence continuing their studies in Science.

“The students have done an amazing job achieving these results and I would like to commend the Science Department teachers Y7-12 both present and past for their excellent work across 2020.

It’s also rewarding to work with staff who strive for continual growth and have a selfless attitude to working with students out of class, which is a great example of  a true Lasallian education.”
