As parents, we all know how fast time flies—one moment, they’re starting secondary school, and the next, they’re about to graduate! It’s moments like these that make being involved in our children’s school journey so rewarding, and we’re excited to give you the opportunity to be a part of one of the biggest events of the year—the Year 12 Graduation!
Volunteering at La Salle College offers countless benefits. It’s a great way to stay connected with the school community, build relationships with other parents, and see first-hand the effort that goes into making these milestone events unforgettable. Plus, you get to contribute to creating a memorable day for our Year 12 students, celebrating all their hard work and achievements.
Our Year 12 Graduation Ceremony is happening on 15 October 2024, and we need enthusiastic parent volunteers to help with the set-up. Here’s what you need to know:
- Time: Volunteers are needed from 1pm, with sign-in at Reception at 12:50pm.
- Duration: The task should take around 2 hours, though last year we finished in just over an hour—talk about teamwork!
- What to bring: Don’t forget to bring water, wear a hat and sunscreen, and come in comfortable clothes and closed-in shoes.
Being part of the Parents and Friends Committee has shown me how much we can achieve together when parents lend their time and energy to support the school. You don’t need to have special skills or a lot of time—just a positive attitude and a willingness to pitch in. Every small effort makes a big difference!
