Our Year 10 Visual Arts students were blessed to spend the day with a truly amazing Western Australian artist, Fleur Schell. Students discovered the techniques for working with porcelain clay (for the first time) and applied them to create a wide range of miniature dwellings, fit for fairies. They also learnt how to add colour to clay to give their dwellings some magical finishing touches.
Overall, it was an amazing experience, enjoyed by all. Once the clay is dry it will be fired so that oxides can be applied to add more effects in readiness for the annual College Arts Exhibition in Term 4.
