Principal’s Message

5 August 2024

Dear Families and Friends,

Welcome back to Term Three, the final term for our Year 12 students. Like every term at La Salle College, I can guarantee, that once again our community will be a hive of activity from start to end. On the academic front, my hope is that all parents have spent time with their children reflecting on their Semester One Reports and that students have set themselves goals to work toward this semester. When reviewing reports, I believe it most important to look for those areas to celebrate and to also identify those aspects that require improvement.

Celebrating Excellence

Throughout the Scriptures there are many passages that remind us to always give our best. In Colossians 3:23 we are reminded:

“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart…”, while Ecclesiastes 9:10 tells us that “Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might…”.

When I reflect on the year to date, there is no doubt, that many students have worked with endeavour across a range of areas. In this edition of the Delagram, I wish to highlight a number of those student successes on the academic front. At an Assembly held in Week 3, those students who realised academic success in Semester One were acknowledged.

Vice Principal, Mrs Rox Davies, acknowledged students who had demonstrated success across a range of learning areas while displaying an outstanding work ethic. At the Assembly I was privileged to call forward the following students to receive my Principal’s Award:

P and F Music Bingo Evening

Hats off to our amazing Parents and Friends group for pulling together a fantastic fundraiser and friend-raising event on Friday 26 July 2024! The Musical Bingo evening hit all the right notes, bringing our community together for a night of fun and laughter. The event’s success is a true testament to the hard work and dedication of many individuals.

A special thank you goes to Joanne Johnson for her coordination of the event, supported by our College Development Manager, Dolores Castelino and the many parent volunteers on the day. Your combined efforts were instrumental in making the evening memorable.

I would also like to extend my thanks to the families and staff who attended. Your presence not only supported the Parents and Friends team but also reinforced the strength and unity of our entire College community. Your participation was invaluable and greatly contributed to the success of the evening. Thank you!

God Bless!
