Project 2030 Presentation Day

10 December 2020

Over the final two weeks of school, Year 9 students have been working on a Problem Based Learning Task called ‘Project

2030′ during their Science and Humanities and Social Science classes.

This cross-curricular group project is based around three of the United Nations Sustainability Goals:

  • Goal 2 – Zero Hunger
  • Goal 7 – Affordable and Clean Energy
  • Goal 15 – Life of Land

Students had the choice of researching one of the three goals with the aim of creating a solution that will contribute to solving one of these problems by 2030.

This has been a fully immersive project, allowing students to grow their critical and creative thinking skills as well as providing them an opportunity to collaborate with their peers and experiment with various IT skills.

The project culminated with students presenting their project solutions and being judged by staff from all across the College.

This was a fantastic day and demonstrated the hard work of the cohort and demonstrated the creative thinking that students in Year 9 at La Salle are aiming to further develop.

Well done to all who were involved in this wonderful learning opportunity.
