With the commencement of Term 1, this is a timely reminder to all parents and guardians to always park safely and legally.
With over 1400 students, our school is a busy place, especially at drop off and pick up times, so we need to work together to keep it safe for our students and the local community.
Keep in mind that you are:
- Sticking to the speed limit within the school zone (10km/h within school grounds)
- Using designated College Pick up/Drop off areas (along Administration and Gymnasium Buildings)
- Always using crosswalks
- Following the parking signs and avoiding parking on footpaths, driveways and in the bus area along the front oval
- Considering the use of alternative transport options including carpooling, public transport, cycling and walking (even if only to meet at a designated spot to be picked up away from the College)
- Consider arriving 10-15 minutes later to pick up your child, which may allow for the bulk of traffic to clear the College grounds.
City of Swan Rangers often patrol in the areas surrounding the College to ensure that parents/guardians are following the road rules.
By continuing to practice safe driving and parking we can keep our community safe.
Thank you for your continued cooperation in relation to this matter
