Science Week at La Salle College was a celebration of discovery, innovation, and cosmic curiosity, all inspired by the national theme: Decoding the Universe.
Throughout the week, students enthusiastically engaged in a range of hands-on activities that brought science to life across the campus. The PCG quiz sparked lively competition, with Jordan 6 emerging victorious, showcasing the sharp minds and teamwork of this dynamic pastoral care group. Staff also joined in the fun, with the Learning Support team taking out the win in the Animal Adaptations Staff Quiz.
On the front oval, students launched rockets into the sky, their trajectories echoing the limitless possibilities of scientific exploration. One of the most memorable moments came when over 450 students sampled liquid nitrogen ice cream—a frosty, fog-filled treat that turned chemistry into a delicious spectacle.
Each event invited students to look deeper into the mechanics of the universe, from the adaptations of animals to the physics of propulsion and the wonders of molecular gastronomy. Science Week wasn’t just about experiments and quizzes—it was about unlocking the mysteries that surround us, one question, one launch, and one scoop at a time.
At La Salle, decoding the universe became more than a theme—it was a shared journey of awe, learning, and celebration.
