What an outstanding achievement from our Senior Girls Netball Team to compete in the ACC Grand Final on Tuesday, 19 August.
In a close game against St Brigid’s College, the team showed exceptional skills and sportsmanship throughout the game. While our girls didn’t walk away with the win, they won the hearts of the crowd with their Lasallian spirit.
Congratulations to St Brigid’s College on the win and to La Salle College’s Abbey Jose (Year 12) who was awarded MVP of the game.
La Salle was praised by the ACC for ‘brining the energy and spirit’ with staff receiving multiple comments regarding our fantastic spirit and respectful cheering and encouragement of all players throughout the match.
A special mention goes to Mr Conor Rawlings, Head Coach, for his fantastic effort in preparing the team and guiding them through their matches all season. His commitment and leadership were instrumental in the team’s development and their ability to compete so strongly at this level. The ACC and La Salle parents also acknowledged Conor for his dedication and mentorship of the girls across Term 2 and 3.
The level of school pride was a feature of the ACC Grand Final netball match, with the team supporting each other right to the final whistle.
Thank you again to Mr Rawlings and Mr Milligan for supporting the Senior Girls team this season and to all the spectators who supported the team on the day – what a special way for our senior girls to finish up their ACC netball.
