This term, our dedicated staff have actively engaged in a series of professional learning sessions, all aligned to the College’s pedagogical principles of courage, connection, engagement and flexibility.
One memorable exercise involved staff members being drawn together by a string of twine, symbolising the various ways we are all interconnected. Staff also reflected on the different ways they have modelled and embedded courage, connection, engagement, and flexibility in their classrooms. This reflection has reinforced their commitment to continuous improvement and their dedication to providing the best possible learning environment for our students.
Our teachers have also participated in professional learning focused on embedding First Nations perspectives in the classroom, strategies to support student wellbeing, and better utilising the digital technologies platforms we have available. These initiatives further embed our core principles by encouraging teachers to courageously incorporate diverse perspectives, foster deeper connections with students, engage with innovative teaching methods, and remain flexible in adapting to new technologies and student needs.
We are proud of our staff’s dedication to providing the best possible learning environment for our students. Together, we are fostering a collaborative educational community committed to transforming tomorrow’s hearts, minds and lives.
