Student spotlight: Tara Stribley

24 August 2021

Congratulations to Year 12 student Tara Stribley who was one of 23 players in the state chosen to represent the Associated and Catholic Colleges (ACC) girls’ team in the inaugural All Stars AFL tri-series against the Independent Girls Schools SA (IGSSA) and School Sport WA (SSWA) teams.

On Friday 6 August at Claremont Football Club the three teams competed in the inaugural All-Star AFL competition. By all accounts it was a fun tournament and a great opportunity for players to represent their schools and showcase their talent and competitive spirit.

Tara captained the ACC All Stars team who won the inaugural trophy ahead of IGSSA in second and SSWA in third. Tara was named Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the competition by the West Australian Football Commission.

On behalf of the College we congratulate Tara on this outstanding sporting achievement, her contribution to school sport and her leadership in the wider community.
