Dance

Dance is one of the largest sections of the festival and runs over three nights (18 – 20 August) at the Perth Convention Exhibition Centre. This year, our specialist dance programs, De La Dance Ensemble and De La J both participated on Thursday 19 August and received Certificates of Excellence for their entries. Junior Ensemble’s entry choreographed by Ms Melle Smith was the Sirens’ Call inspired by the ancient Greek stories of Odysseus and his travels.  Our senior ensemble, choreographed by Ms Tneale Maher The Gyotcha Barn was inspired by the Tombstone Myth.  The amazing costumes for both ensembles were designed by Ms Pauline Van Der Westhuizen.
