Students excel in community sport

Congratulations to the following La Salle College students on their recent sporting success in the community:
  • Year 12 Jaymee Firkins signed her contract to play in the States semi-professional basketball league NBL1 West for the Eastern Suns
  • Year 11 Jaime Henry was selected in the WA State Under 18 Women’s Football Team. Jaime was also selected in the 2022 leadership group for the Swan District’s Womens Football Team.
  • Year 10 John Stephens WA Little Athletics Track & Field Championships Powered by Go for 2&5 gold medal in the U15 Boys Shot Put
  • Year 11 Evan Smith selected in the U17 WA State Under 17 Football Team
  • Year 10 Chris Wright WA Track Cycling State Championships – 3 x Silver medals and 2 x Bronze medals. Chris was selected in the State Track Team which will be competing at Nationals in Brisbane next month. 
  • Year 12 Alex Wright WA Track Cycling State Championships – 3 x Bronze medals 
  • Year 10 John Stephens Athletics WA State Track and Field Championships – U16 Mens Shot Put – Gold, U16 Mens Discus – Silver
  • Year 12 Ash Candy (College and Sports Captain) Athletics WA State Track and Field Championships – U20 Womens 5000m – Gold, U20 Womens 3000m – Gold, U20 Womens 1500m – Silver and U20 Womens 800m – Silver 
  • Year 8 Georgia Candy Athletics WA State Track and Field Championships  – U15 Womens 400m –Bronze, U15 Womens 800m – Bronze 
  • Year 7 Courtney McCarthy (pictured left) joined forces with her brother and cousin to win the Lancelin Triathlon in the 12 Years & Under Short Course Division last month.
