Our Year 11 and 12 ATAR Visual Art students participated in a Visual Arts Painting Workshop with guest artist Desiree Crossing on Monday 9 May.

Specialising in portraiture, Desiree’s highly detailed oil paintings speak to classical painting traditions, whilst embodying an unmistakably modern spirit. She has exhibited locally and internationally and won awards for her paintings.

Desiree taught our students how to mix complicated colour schemes, the best way to approach beginning a composition and colour matching while they created their own unique portrait in oil paint.

The College is extremely grateful Desiree was able to make time in her busy schedule to work with our talented budding artists!
