La Salle’s “Write a Book in a Day” was an exhilarating full-day event that ran from 8 am to 8 pm, where students enthusiastically worked in groups to craft compelling stories based on provided characters, settings, issues, and random words.
The competition saw La Salle enter three teams, each tackling different sets of criteria, showcasing the students’ creativity and teamwork. Despite the pressure of a looming deadline, all three stories were triumphantly submitted on time. The day was filled with hard work and seamless collaboration, and the students not only relished the process but also took immense pride in their final stories.
The three teams we entered were:
Team Hot Dogs (10): – Nicca Ibay – Vinolia Aborgeh – Alayna Ward – Ridhi Navet – Ava Hickey – Olivia Di Matteo – Shivani Arul – Alexis Marquez – Cianna Palliyan – Leona Joseph
Team Cookie Monsters (8): – Bodhi Amery – Antonino D’Angelo – Hannah Swadling – Sienna Robinson – Abby Di Cera – Emma Wallington – Tyler Horsfall – Aahlia Bennett
Team Cold Coffee (7): – Ayla Hunt – Ashley Lonergan – Cleo Marrette – Dixie Dayman – Mischa Tengoncian – Vernice Lucero – Anna Kattakayam.
Well done to everyone involved and special thanks to Ms Louise Hartley, Ms Ana Vrajesh and Ms Rachel Walker.Â
