Year 10 ‘ENGAGE 500’ Competition

22 August 2024

Our Year 10 students have made an incredible start to Term 3, particularly through our new ENGAGE 500 competition, which has been in full swing now for three weeks. The competition aligns with our College’s Vision for Learning with a focus on the pedagogical principle of Engagement, specifically across Mathematics and Science classes.

Students have been demonstrating their engagement in various ways—whether it’s applying innovative problem-solving strategies, embracing new perspectives, adapting their understanding as they learn, or helping their peers enjoy the learning experience: When they demonstrate this high-level of engagement, they earn a raffle ticket as a reward.

It’s been a joy to have so many wonderful conversations with students as they drop their tickets into the jar in the Wellbeing Office, and they’re loving the weekly prize draws for individuals too. However, the excitement doesn’t stop there—if our Year 10 cohort can reach 500 raffle tickets before the end of term, the entire year group will celebrate with a special prize for all to share.

With over 100 tickets already collected, we’re off to a fantastic start. Let’s keep the momentum going and reach our goal!
