Earlier this Term, Year 10 Outdoor Education students set off early for an exciting Mountain Bike excursion to Lake Leschenaultia. The weather was superb, and students had an amazing day rotating through the following activities:Â
- Mountain Biking around the lake using multiple trails.Â
- Environmental Art – students were challenged to apply their imagination using their surroundings to create art pieces using the prompts provided.
- Orienteering – students were given a map and a compass to navigate their way around different parts of the lake.
- Raft building – students worked in small groups with limited resources and time to create a raft to cross the lake and return without getting soaked.
The Mountain Bike excursion was a huge success, with students displaying amazing engagement, courage, connection and flexibility across the day.
Thank you to Mr Bush, Mr Appleby, Mr Suriani, Miss Robinson, Mr Tyrell, Miss Scuderi, Mr Vitalich, Mr Forbes, Mr Merigan and Mr Rawlings for supporting our students on their great outdoor adventures!Â
