Touching hearts through Relay for Life

18 May 2021

Over the weekend (15-16 May) 39 of our Year 11 students and a number of staff members participated in the annual Relay for Life for the Cancer Council of WA.

The students were challenged to keep the College baton moving around the running track at HBF Stadium for 24 hours without a break. They were successful in this task, even when it required getting up in the early hours of the morning to complete their allocated one hour shift.

We are incredibly proud of the way our students represented themselves and the College. Through these efforts they exceeded our College fundraising goal contributing nearly $3000 to cancer research in Western Australia.

It was a fun and memorable experience for our students. We all went home on Sunday afternoon very tired but satisfied that we had followed closely in the footsteps of St John Baptist de La Salle in Touching Hearts by serving those in need in our community.

Thank you to all those involved, particularly the staff members who generously gave their time to supervise this worthwhile community event.
