Year 4 St Anthony’s Lasallian Experience

27 July 2021

In Term 2 La Salle College hosted a Year 4 Lasallian Experience for St Anthony’s students on Thursday 3 June from 9.30 am – 2.30 pm.

Around 60 students explored our beautiful College grounds and participated in a range of fun and interactive learning adventures.

Staff and a group of our Year 9 students guided the Year 4 St Anthony’s students through five ‘learning stations’ across science, food, design and technology, music and sport/maths.

The students enjoyed the opportunity to construct a recipe jar (for cooking at home) of  triple-chocolate muffins and a fidget spinner in our state of the art design and technology centre. Students wowed at a number of  ‘science explosions’ and worked enthusiastically in teams to solve maths questions and participate in sport challenges. One of the highlights was the guitar strumming to AC/DC Thunderstruck!

Parents and guardians then joined students and staff for an afternoon tea in the College Gymnasium which included a slide show of their child’s leaning adventures across the day.

The Year 4 Lasallian Experience was a wonderful way for the College to connect with one of our local Catholic primary schools and provide a rich and memorable learning experience.
