Our College is part of the Mentally Healthy Schools program to promote the Act-Belong-Commit ethos throughout our whole school community.
We recently held our Act Belong Commit Wellbeing Fair for senior students (Year 10-12) to learn more about the services and programs that are available in the community to support their ongoing wellbeing. The event also provided opportunities for our students to have career conversations with Universities, Tafe, Community Sport Programs, Army Cadets and St John Ambulance.
The Fair was spaced out over the course of the school day with year groups rotating through the gym. Students were also able to treat themselves – with coffee vans and boost juice available.
We hope by promoting the Act-Belong-Commit message around the school, it not only educates young people about what they can do to prevent the onset of mental illness, but also encourages them to participate in all the activities that are on offer to be active, join in lunchtime and after school groups, and do good things for others.
This event is just one of the initiatives to support student wellbeing at La Salle College. Keep an eye out in the calendar for upcoming activities and encourage your child to get involved in some way to boost their happiness and wellbeing.
