Catholic Performing Arts Festival

Performing Arts Festival for Catholic Schools and Colleges in Western Australia was established to help the students of Catholic schools and colleges experience the spirit and tradition of the performing arts.

La Salle College was proud to take part in the Opening Mass at the beautiful St Mary’s Cathedral, joining schools from across WA to celebrate the beginning of the 2026 Festival. A special congratulations to our selected student musicians, who were chosen to perform the Opening Procession of the Flags, helping to begin this significant celebration through music. We also congratulate our Arts Captain Angee Wibisono who proudly represented La Salle College as part of this year’s official festival proceedings.

Chapel Bible Reading

College Captains Kate and Gian, along with Christian Ministry Captain Isabel, represented our community with confidence and pride at the Catholic Education WA Performing Arts Festival through the Chapel Bible Reading. Guided by Religious Education teacher Sunny Fernandez, our students were well prepared and performed exceptionally well, with Kate receiving a perfect score.Ā  What an incredible achievement Kate. We are proud of our students for sharing their talents and faith so beautifully

Instrumental Ensemble

Our Flute Choir, Saxophone Ensemble, Saxophone Quartet, Clarinet Ensemble and Wind Quintet, took to the stage at the Don Russell Performing Arts Centre, proudly representing the College at the Catholic Education WA – Performing Arts Festival (CPAF) Instrumental Ensemble. Performing at CPAF provides a wonderful opportunity for students to build confidence, teamwork and performance skills while sharing their passion for music. Congratulations to every performer for representing La Salle College with excellence. Thank you to our amazing instrumental tutors and staff for their support and guidance to our students.Ā

Sacred Choral

Our College Choir and De La Dolce proudly represented La Salle College at the Sacred Choral event, performing in the stunning surrounds of St Mary’s Cathedral. Singing in such sacred space was a memorable experience for our students. Their musical excellence and respectful presence were a reflection of the commitment and hard work they have shown over many months of rehearsals. We are proud of every chorister for the way they represented our College with confidence, dedication and grace. Congratulations to both ensembles on a wonderful evening of music and shared celebration.

Percussion Ensembles

Last Thursday our General Percussion Ensemble and Senior Percussion Ensemble proudly represented La Salle College performing at the Catholic Performing Arts Festival at Trinity College.

Under the direction of Ms Mercedes Slack-Smith, both ensembles delivered energetic and engaging performances, showcasing the rhythm, precision and teamwork developed through months of dedicated rehearsal.Ā

Congratulations to all of our percussionists on their outstanding music efforts and the professionalism they displayed throughout the day.Ā
