On Wednesday 23 June (Term 2) we held our Whole School Athletics Carnival at Ern Clark Athletics Centre, Cannington. The weather held up for what was a beautiful sunny day for students to showcase their Lasallian spirit.

The Carnival had many memorable moments including multiple individual records broken and a new team 4 x 100 m relay record set.  These, along with the fierce Tug of War competition and other inclusive events meant there was something for everyone. It was also fantastic to see the friendship and camaraderie throughout the day.  

Due to the format of the day some of the events have been scheduled for Term 3. These include; javelin, high jump, 1500m and hurdles. If students are interested in representing their House in these events they can sign up using the information in the Daily Notices on SEQTA.

The 2021 Representative ACC Athletics Squad will be selected from the times and measurements from the Carnival and Post Carnival events.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the students who competed, our staff, and external providers who helped make the day a success.

On behalf of the College we wish all our students the best at ACC level and thank everyone again for their contribution to the La Salle College Athletics Carnival this year.
