On Tuesday 5 May, our College Chapel was full of joy, gratitude and love as we celebrated Mother’s Day with our Year 11 students and their families.
Students led us through an uplifting liturgy with prayers and readings centred around ‘gratitude’ to honour and celebrate the significant women in our lives.
We give thanks for the gift of mothers and all those who embody a motherly presence in our lives. We recognise their love, sacrifice, and generosity of spirit. As part of the service, students and parents wrote notes of gratitude to express their joy and appreciation for each other.
Families then moved to the Peter Elloy Staff Centre to enjoy a light breakfast of fruit, sweet pastries and warm croissants and quiches supplied by our talented canteen staff.
Thank you to Ms McGrath and Ms Manning for their overall coordination of our Mother’s Day event and to everyone who attended – it was a special way to start the day and kick off Mother’s Day celebrations.
Wishing all our Lasallian Mums a very special Mother’s Day.
