Preparations have commenced for student placements in the Catholic Education Western Australia Ltd (CEWA) 2026/27 TAFE Specialist Courses.
CEWA has recently undertaken a review of the Onsite Program. As a result of this process, CEWA has determined that Onsite will cease operating in its current format at the end of 2026. Importantly, CEWA will continue to offer the same one-year specialist courses for students, ensuring ongoing access to high-quality vocational education and industry pathways.
La Salle College will also continue to support students with Workplace Learning Placements. If your child is currently in Year 10 or 11 and is interested in applying for one of the 2027 CEWA (Previously known as Onsite Specialist Courses listed below, please complete the Expression of Interest form via this link: 2026/27 VET Course Registration Expression of Interest.
Courses available in 2027 include:
- Certificate II in Automotive Servicing Technology (Light Vehicle Servicing Pre-Appprenticeship) (Term 4 start 2026)
- Certificate II in Salon Assistant
- Certificate II in Plumbing (Plumbing Pre-Apprenticeship)
- Certificate II in Electrotechnology (Career Start) (Electrotechnology Pre-apprenticeship) (Term 4 start 2026)
- Certificate II in Sustainable Energy (Career Start) (Term 4 start 2026)
- Certificate II in Building and Construction (Pathway – Carpentry)
- Certificate II in Engineering Foundations (Fabrication Pre-Apprenticeship)
Further information will be given to Year 10 students in their upcoming Pathway Sessions in Week 8, as well as at the Parent Information Evening in Week 11.
Year 11 students will be briefed in their Careers and Employability classes, and parents/carers will also receive communication via email in the coming days.
