On Monday 18 September, we marked the end of our year 12s formal school education at the College. It was a day of acknowledgement, celebration and Lasallian tradition. Students received their Leavers Book and enjoyed a warm breakfast in the Peter Elloy Staff Centre as they reflected on their time together over the years. This was followed by a whole of College Assembly, during which Ms Fiume presented a number of special Year 12 Awards.
Principal Commendation for 100% attendance awarded to:
- Flint Boothman
- Rhys Carson
Half and Full College Colours in Academic, Faith & Leadership and Sport awarded to:
- Ella Faraone
Catholic Performing Arts Festival Excellence in Saxophone Solo awarded to:
- Macca Alleway
In keeping with tradition, Year 12 music students wowed us by performing two musical acts:
- “Everybody wants to rule the world” by 2023 Cert III Music Class
- “School of Brock – Featuring Tyler Swift”
To close out a very special morning a Guard of Honour was formed outside the Gymnasium by our Year 7 students as our Class of 2023 made their way out of Assembly for the very last time. It was a beautiful moment for all.
The sunshine was in full flight and so were some of our teaching staff in the traditional Staff V Student AFL match. It was a close and competitive contest – with staff sealing the game with a goal in the last minute to take the win 31 to 22.
