Mentally Healthy Week 2023

14 September 2023

On Monday 11 September the College kicked off ‘Mentally Healthy Week’, providing opportunities for students and staff to engage in activities to inspire, empower and encourage positive mental health and wellbeing.

Activities across the week included:

  • Mental Health Mini Expo in the Senior Learning Centre
  • Pastoral Care Group (PCG) Quizzes
  • Mindfulness Monday in the Chapel
  • Fit Body, Fit Mind Plank Challenge
  • R U OK? Pledge Wall
  • Handball Challenge
  • Limbo Challenge
  • Music and dancing

Built around the message of ‘Act, Belong, Commit’, our school community prioritised their wellbeing by keeping active through physical challenges, connecting and doing something meaningful with and for others. We also acknowledged R U OK? day and engaged in healthy conversations to remind everyone that the support of a good mate can help someone feel connected and supported as they navigate life’s ups and downs. We are hopeful that our students and staff have some new ideas and strategies they can use to maintain positive mental health and wellbeing.

Thank you to our amazing College Counselling Team for a wonderful week – and for all the work you do to support our young people every day.
