Make a Difference (MAD) Day 2024 will be held on Friday 10 May. MAD Day is a celebration of our founder, St John Baptist de La Salle, and is also our major fundraising day for the year, with a majority of the proceeds going towards the Lasallian Foundation.

The aim of the day is two-fold. Firstly, we recall the life of de La Salle as an inspiration to all of us to live lives of faith, excellence and service.  This includes our celebration of our community and the wonderful people – staff and students – who continue to work of de La Salle today in Middle Swan. Secondly, it is also a day to focus on the least, last and lost. We recognise that people do not just need financial assistance, but also, ‘actions’ can improve the lives of others. Therefore, emphasis is on ‘service to others’, as well as raising funds. As such, Houses, PCGs and students need to have a service component to the activities they are providing. 

All families are asked to donate $6 towards the day. As a practical matter it is helpful if this is done in coins as we use this money in the floats for various stalls on the day. This money will be collected via PCG at the beginning of next Term before MAD Day occurs.
