Dear Parents and Guardians
“Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.” – Matthew 25:40
As we step into the season of giving, our Lasallian values shine through the annual Vinnies Christmas Appeal. This initiative is a reminder of our shared responsibility to support those facing adversity within our community.
At the heart of the Vinnies Christmas Appeal is the understanding that our contributions directly impact local families dealing with severe financial challenges. Guided by our Lasallian values, which go beyond educating minds to nurturing hearts, we strive to embody the value of solidarity, standing united as a community to uplift those in need.
Our dedicated Pastoral Care Groups (PCGs) are driving this project, instilling empathy and social responsibility in our students. It’s heartening to witness the generosity displayed by several PCGs in their collections—a living testament to our commitment to the Lasallian values of concern for the poor and social justice.
The Vinnies Christmas Appeal goes beyond a charity fundraiser; it is a sign of our dedication to living out the Lasallian values of faith, service, and community. By providing non-perishable food items, we extend our hands to those less fortunate, expressing our shared humanity and interconnectedness.
Not only do our donations contribute to the Christmas Hampers, but there is also usually enough that Vinnies is able to stock their cupboards well into the New Year. This is vitally important to Vinnies as they help local families needing assistance over extended periods of time.
Thank you for your ongoing support and generosity to our Vinnies Christmas Appeal.
Every contribution, regardless of size, echoes the teachings of St. John Baptist de La Salle, as we make a meaningful impact on the lives of those facing adversity within our local community.
God Bless!
