Celebrating Our P&F 90s Bingo Music Night – It was wonderful to see our College community come together for our recent 90s Bingo Music Night, organised by our Parents and Friends Association. The evening was a tremendous success, bringing together families, staff and friends for a night filled with music, laughter, fun, and plenty of nostalgia.
The atmosphere throughout the evening was fantastic, with everyone embracing the 90s theme and enjoying the opportunity to relax and connect as a community. It was great to see so many members of our College community getting into the spirit of the night, dressing up in their double denim and track suits!
I would like to sincerely thank our P&F for the considerable time, energy and commitment they invested in organising this event. A successful evening such as this requires a great deal of planning and preparation, much of which happens behind the scenes. Their dedication and enthusiasm are greatly appreciated.
I would also like to extend my sincere thanks to all our generous sponsors and everyone who donated prizes for the evening. Your generosity and support played an important role in making the night such a success, and we are grateful for your contribution. Thank you also to the families, staff and friends who attended and supported the night. Your enthusiasm and generosity helped create a wonderful atmosphere.
Most importantly, the evening demonstrated that fundraising is about far more than raising money. Events like this are about building relationships, strengthening our community and offering an opportunity for engagement. A heartfelt thank you to everyone involved in making our 90s Bingo Music Night such a memorable and successful evening. What a fantastic night!
Vinnies Winter Activity
It was wonderful to see more than one hundred of our Year 8 students come together recently for the Vinnies Winter Activity, an important initiative designed to raise awareness of homelessness and help our young people better understand the challenges faced by people experiencing homelessness in our community.
The evening provided students with an opportunity to step outside their usual experiences and reflect on what it might be like to face the uncertainty and vulnerability associated with homelessness. A guest speaker shared powerful insights into the realities of homelessness and, importantly, spoke about practical ways in which each of us can make a difference and support those in need.
I was particularly proud of the compassion, maturity and willingness to engage demonstrated by our students throughout the evening.
My sincere thanks to Mrs Marian McGrath, our Director of Catholic Identity and Mission, for organising this important event, and to the staff who supported our students during the evening.
Initiatives such as this one remind us that our Lasallian mission calls us to Faith, Excellence and Service, and to recognise our responsibility to others, particularly those who are vulnerable or marginalised. This is what it means to be a Lasallian community, forming minds and touching hearts through service.
