On Friday 13 May more than 80 students and staff set out on a 20 hour Relay for Life walking challenge to raise awareness and funds for cancer research.
Year 11 students worked in small teams to ensure the College baton kept moving around the gym floor from Friday afternoon until Saturday lunch time.
A small candlelight ceremony was held for all those members of the College who have been impacted by cancer in their lives.
We are delighted to share that the College raised over $6000. This amount included a large donation from the College’s security company. Thank you to everyone in our community that supported our young people on this journey. Every dollar raised makes a difference and goes towards supporting the Cancer Council’s life-saving cancer research, prevention, advocacy and support for all Australians impacted by cancer.
Thank you also to the staff who assisted and our volunteers and Parents and Friends Association who prepared and cooked a warm breakfast for our weary walkers.
