As part of the International Day of People with Disabilities celebrations (Sunday 3rd December) students from St Joseph Education Support Centre and a Year 7 Physical Education class, were given the opportunity to participate in a Wheelchair Football Clinic on Thursday.

Coaches from Swan Districts Football Club brought along all the equipment for the clinic, including 10 new, custom-made sports wheelchairs. 

It was wonderful to have two coaches that are La Salle College alumni facilitate the clinic. Jaime Henry (2023 College Sports Captain and Swan Districts AFLW Player) and Jackson Foskett (2021 Leaver and Swan Districts All Abilities League Player).

Students enjoyed gaining new skills and being involved in a game, with one of the highlights being able to wear recently designed jumpers to be worn by the Swan Districts Wheelchair Football Team.
