Our Year 7 students and their families gathered on Monday 25 March for our ‘I am Lasallian’ evening to celebrate the wonderful achievements they have made in their first term in Secondary School. The evening represents the culmination of their first Term at La Salle College where their theme for the year is ‘Becoming Lasallian’.

The night acts as a showcase of all the wonderful experiences and work that the Year 7’s have participated in across Term 1. The students were able to present project work to their families that they completed in their Project Based Learning classes, where the emphasis is on cross curricular learning and the development of important skills such as collaboration, communication, and critical thinking. These skills serve the students throughout their time here at the College.

There was a fantastic atmosphere and positive connections made between students, staff and their families. We also shared a scrumptious sausage sizzle (thanks to our P&F helpers) where funds raised will be donated towards the Lasallian Foundation and will be added to those raised on MAD Day in Term 2.

All in all, it was a wonderful event and the Year 7’s should be extremely proud of how they have approached their first term here at La Salle College.
